Human Right & Social Performance Policy

1.     We support and respect the protection of international human rights in line with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and ensure that these are safeguarded.

 

▪ Meet or exceed all local human rights legislation.

 

▪ We respect and protect each individual’s dignity and personal rights and privacy, including personal data.

 

▪ We guarantee and protect employees’ freedom of opinion and their right to express that opinion.

 

▪ We respect the ban on child labor, according to international labor organization (ILO) standards. Nobody must be forces into employment or work against their will.

 

▪ We respect the current laws and regulations on remuneration and ensure that employees receive an appropriate wage. We adhere to the relevant work protection and working time regulations.

 

▪ We respect employees’ freedom of association freedom of assembly and their right to collective wage bargaining, in as much as these are legally permissible and possible in the country concerned. Members of employee organization or trade unions are neither favored nor disadvantaged.

 

▪ Asian Express Services (CXC EXPRESS LTD.) supports social and charitable institutions and encourages employees to undertake volunteer work.

Implementation Plan

 

The directors of the company are accountable for compliance of the Policy .

Human Resources Manager will:

l  Be responsible to promote and implement the policy

l  take reasonable steps to: - prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, associated with or in the course of work, by minimising so far as is reasonably practicable, the causes of hazards inherent in the working practice and environment; and - provide our employees with a safe and secure environment for their work.

l  Ensure employees to be paid wages and benefits, for a standard working week that meet or exceed the minimum national requirements. • On being employed by the company, employees shall be informed of their employment conditions in written and understandable format with respect to wages and the circumstances of each payment.

l  operate flexible working practices recognising the need for employees to balance their working life with other interests and responsibilities as far as is reasonably practicable within the constraints of effectively running the business.

l  Support the long-term objective to eliminate child labour globally, being consistent with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. No children are to be employed directly by ASE.

l  provide a secure and confidential means of giving feedback to management without fear of reprisals.
